We currently have an opportunity at our Amherst, New York facility to join IIMAK as a Maintenance Mechanic.  This position will work a Monday-Thursday day shift schedule (standard hours TBD).

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance (PM) and repairs on production equipment.
• Document and complete maintenance work orders in a work order management system with labor hours, parts used and a detailed record of completed tasks.
• Continuous improvement of PM programs to maximize equipment uptime and increase productivity.
• Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns on production equipment and make necessary repairs.
• Fabricate parts for repairs and equipment modifications by utilizing hand and machine tools.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with all organizational policies, procedures and regulations.

(Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job)
• AAS degree (mechanical or facility field preferred) or 5+ years of applicable, hands-on experience in a manufacturing/maintenance environment.
• Journeyman mechanic certification, a plus, machinist certification preferred.
• Ability to work an altered schedule as needed, to accommodate business needs.
• Hands-on experience with bearings, pumps, pneumatics, valves and piping.  Web coating and converting machinery preferred.
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and equipment manuals.
• Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
